                   AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE A RIGHT-OF-WAY NAME FOR
                   CALDWELL STREET AND PART OF ELINOR STREET AS
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN TO MILITARY ROAD.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the name of Caldwell 
Street
         and part of Elinor Street described herein located northwest 
from
         South Scenic Highway southeast of Cravens Terrace, be and is
         hereby changed to Military Road as follows: 
               
                Part of Elinor Street beginning on the northwest
                line of South Scenic Highway some 415 feet
                southeast of the intersection of the southwest line
                of South Scenic Highway with the southwest line of
                Cravens Terrace, and extending northwest and
                southwest to the northeast line of Shingle Road. 
                Caldwell Street, also known as Elinor Street,
                beginning on the southwest line of Elinor Street
                some 125 feet northwest of the intersection of the
                southwest line of Elinor Street with the northwest
                line of South Scenic Highway, and extending
                southwest and northwest to the southeast line of a
                street currently known as Elinor Street.  Tax Map
                No. 154-15, and 155I-B-1, 3, 5, 12, 16, and 17.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
